Kelly Fryer, who most recently served as CEO for YWCA Southern Arizona, was critical in leading the 100-year old civil rights organization through a period of unprecedented programmatic and financial growth, including their 100th-anniversary campaign, which raised more than $1.5 million in just over a year. During the 2018 primary election, she was a candidate for the Democratic nomination for governor of Arizona.

“In this next phase of my career, I’m focused on working with organizations and individuals who are ready to do what’s next. I’m excited to be on the team at CCCL, a transparent, accountable and rare educational nonprofit that is widely recognized for its innovative, project-based approach to teaching and learning, and is poised for next-level growth,” Fryer said.

Each year, CCCL’s professional development program provides consulting, training and learning opportunities for hundreds of local public-school teachers, as well as educational leaders across the nation.

In this role, Fryer will provide strategic direction for the completion of the capital campaign, which will enable the expansion of CCCL’s Project-Based Learning Professional Development educational program that has already received national recognition.

CCCL’s board of directors will launch a nationwide search for a permanent Executive Director this fall of 2019.
