Join us on Saturday, 11 January 2020 from 8:30-3:00 for Understanding Youth Homelessness.

Diego Coronado, Lead Program Coordinator at Youth on Their Own
Diego Coronado is the Lead Program Coordinator at youth on Their Own (YOTO). Diego supports youth experiencing homelessness by helping them with basic needs and by advocating for them at school.
Tim Grivois-Shah, Director of Professional Learning and Community Engagement
Tim Grivois-Shah, Ed.D. is CITY’s Director of Professional Learning and Community Engagement. Tim trains school teams in trauma-informed practice. Tim’s family currently supports a youth needing a safe place to live as a host family.

Youth on Their Own supports over 2,000 youth in Pima County who have no permanent, safe place to live. Many more unhoused youth struggle without anyone knowing their story.

This workshop is for educators and community organizers to learn to recognize when youth may be experiencing homelessness, how to listen without judgement, and what to do to help.
