CITY Center is bringing DREAM BIG back to Tucson for a free screening at The Loft Cinema on Tuesday, October 24th because the film is too important to miss. DREAM BIG was designed to be both visually engaging and inspiring to young people. It is a ‘must see’ for everyone in the family and their teachers as well!
The public screening of an important/provocative educational film has become an annual Fall event for CITY Center for Collaborative Learning. On October 24th young people and their parents, as well as, teachers at all levels (pre-K through university) will be filling the main theater of The Loft Cinema to experience together this important STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) education event.
The film is 45 minutes and it will be followed by a 45-minute panel/audience discussion. Panelists include:
Deirdre Brosnihan (civil engineer, project manager at Pima County Regional Flood Control District, past president ASCE-Southern AZ Branch), PeterCrown (multimedia collaboratory producer, NIH-funded program for disadvantaged high school students, UA College of Medicine, UA Medical Center), Emilio Guevara (local leader, Bit Buckets robotics team), DaNel Hogan (STEM educator, STEMazing Project), Elizabeth Macias (former teacher, engineering designer & hydrologist, Tucson Water), and David Rodriguez (student, UA-ASCE Chapter).

The Loft concessions open at 6:00 pm, along with informational tables set up for event sponsors. The film starts at 7:00 pm, followed by the panel/audience conversation at 7:45 pm. Everyone will be on their way home, provoked and inspired – by 8:30 pm – a family film event indeed!
