You are invited to join us for our annual Pennington Street Showcase on Thursday, March 24th, from 5-7 pm at 37 E. Pennington in beautiful downtown Tucson.
This community event is public demonstration of students’ project-based learning. Students from Paulo Freire Freedom School -Downtown, Paulo Freire Freedom School -University, and City High School will present a range of projects, including water projects, science projects, literature projects, Spanish projects, music, art and more. Student learning is a collaborative effort and demonstrates a strong connection to our sense of place and connection to the people and stories of our region.
Public demonstrations of learning are a foundational component of the academic programs at our three schools. By giving students the opportunity to share their learning with an authentic audience, our students are motivated to show off their deep learning and the personalization of their academic efforts.
The Pennington Street Showcase is also a place to see the progress on our strategic plan and offer your input on our organizational improvement goals.
So please join us for this celebration of student learning.
