It’s open enrollment at all 3 of our schools. Applications close February 1st, 2020. The links below will take you to each schools’ enrollment form.
After the end of the Open Enrollment period (after 2/1/20) each school will conduct a lottery at each grade level for all available spots.
It is important to complete an enrollment form during this open enrollment window in order to qualify for the lottery. Any enrollment forms submitted after Feb. 1st will not qualify for the lottery; instead, these students will be added to the end of the waiting list after the lottery is completed.
The following categories of students will receive preference in the enrollment process as part of board-approved enrollment policy: current students, siblings of current students at any of the three CITY Center for Collaborative Learning schools, and children of CITY Center for Collaborative employees.
The Paulo Freire Freedom Schools (at both the University and Downtown locations) in Tucson, AZ are demonstration learning environments operated by CITY Center for Collaborative Learning. Both schools provide early adolescents with an innovative educational program that ensures they are prepared for the 21st Century.
City High School is a college preparatory program that strives for both rigor and relevance. The school’s graduation requirements exceed the state requirements for graduation and are aligned with admission expectations for the University of Arizona and other four-year institutions. Our unique academic program promotes a hands-on learning experience that engages students directly with their community.
