CommunityShare is sponsoring a spring round for its Seed Grants Program to help support innovative school and classroom projects with community partners. Grants of up to $300 will be awarded to teachers for projects taking place during the 4th quarter of this school year. The grant deadline is Friday, March 17!
CommunityShare seed grants in the past have funded a wide range of projects — from paying for a chicken coop built by UA staff and high school students to covering field trip costs for students to conduct ecological research with experts in the community.
We are looking for fresh, exciting ideas! Funds can be used for materials, transportation, program fees, community partner stipends, and more.

CITY Center for Collaborative Learning is proud to be a strategic partner of CommunityShare. We are piloting the program in our three secondary schools, offering workshops on using the platform to support project-based learning, and supporting the initiative as its fiscal sponsor. Partnering with Josh and CommunityShare is one way we are striving to increase public engagement in schools – an important goal in our CITY 2020 strategic plan. Together, we are working to create a game-changing level of community involvement in our schools – and to help teachers capitalize on the wealth of resources in the world around them.
